Prentice L. Sapp, Sr.
Prentice L. Sapp, Sr., 96, passed away, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Spanish Oaks Retreat. He was born April 21, 1915 in Glennville, Georgia. He worked for Atlantic Towing Company and was their chief engineer.
He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Temple. He enjoyed spending time with his lovely bride and camping with his grandchildren.
Remaining to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Doris Sapp. Also surviving are his daughter, Helena Stone, stepdaughter, Judy Diederich, grandchildren, Renee Dillard and Walt Barnes, and eight great-grandchildren. Surviving brothers are Otis Sapp, Russell Sapp, and surviving sisters are Eva Martin, Eula Mae Lanier, Trudy Arbuckle, Bertha Todd, and Laverne Harris.
The visitation will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
